Here are a few photos from Lindsey and Trebor's back yard wedding of Mimi's Catering in Pratt, KS.  Michele Martin, the owner, is fresh, bold and sweet and this makes for a perfect combination for a chef.  Her dishes looked so enticing I could hardly take the photo without trying to sneak in a piece of her Crab Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes!  The pizza rolls went so fast I missed them all together.  The steak was tender and those "thingys" with them were a perfect combination.  You can tell I don't cook much.  And, it was the best lemon chicken.  So, I'm a HUGE fan.  I only wish she were closer so I could use her for pretty much every occasion.  In fact, I found out later in the evening that both the DJ and I asked her how far she traveled.

I love that I get to pull out my favorite photo of Mugsy this week for the I Heart Faces pet week.  This is Mugs, my lovable Basset Hound, at about 6 months when he was a city dog in Chicago.  He's now an old man at 5 years this July and living in the country in Kansas!  What a long, strange trip it's been =)

Laura & Mark must be two of the sweetest people I have ever had the privilege of photographing.  Laura has this tiny voice that she makes up for with her BIG smiles.  The morning of the wedding, Laura and her bridemaids went for run.  That's right, a run.  Laura runs...a lot.  She even wore a cute little pair of white Nike's with a little blue Nike symbol for her wedding shoes.  She runs a lot =)  And, it shows.  She's tiny and perfectly fit!  At the reception, Laura's sister told funny stories about them both and then Mark's brother did the same.  I was laughing so hard I was almost in tears.  Mark's Mom made ALL the food and it was awesome.  What a sweet day for a sweet couple.  It was only fitting to have wedding favor chocolate Kisses all over the tables...

Remember these two from their engagement photography session...Lindsey and Trebor have such a sweet style and share a love so deep for each other that I was so honored to capture in photographs at their vintage back yard wedding in Pratt, Kansas.  The dress was so gorgeous, the flowers were perfect, the suits were Awesome!, everyone looked so great and had a great time. The DJ was entertaining and NOT at all cheesy. This was perfect planning.  Oh yeah, and best food ever!  So, here are just a few favorites from one of my favorite days...

Such an amazing wedding bridal bouquet by The Flower Shoppe in Pratt, KS

Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment
The Flower Shoppe
Cake - Annette Adelhardt
Officiant - Robert Ahrens

And, I have to give props to her mom.  I know they didn't have a coordinator, but her mom made all the hair pieces, the flower girls dresses and so much more.  She kept everyone on the same page and made it all look effortless and looked beautiful at the same time.  You could tell she loved ALL of her daughters very much. (being a mom to a little girl now makes me appreciate this so much more =)  Well done!

Looking for something to hang your dress on?  I love seeing unique ideas that I think you could use.  Here's a few ideas to make that wedding dress image more your own.

Personalized Metal Hangers are perfect for that rustic wedding photo.  You can get this one over at Lilafrances on Etsy.

wedding-photography-planning.jpg

Another option would be this monogrammed hanger from The Pretty Pearl on Etsy.

And, if you like the wood-carved look, check out this hanger.  I love this from Bragging Bags on Etsy for a winery wedding!

wedding-photography-planning-02.jpgAll of these images are from each of the Etsy stores.  This will look awesome in your albums or prints!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you all think.
