Last Friday I spent the day in Lawrence shooting Stacey & Clinton's wedding (with the new Canon 7D! Love this camera) and had a blast.  Stacey & Clinton have amazing style and carried that into their wedding day so gracefully.  If any of you are in the middle of planning a wedding, you know just how difficult this can be and I'll create a separate post with some helpful places on-line for wedding planning.  But, for now, it's all about Stacey & Clinton!  Stacey selected a wedding dress that I'm clearly jealous of!  She had pockets and so did the bridesmaids.  I love this! And exclamation marks!  The pale pink bouquet was so fun and romantic.  The shoes were comfortable and everyone's hair and make-up looked gorgeous.  You can view an earlier post of them getting ready Lawrence Wedding Photography | Stacey & Clinton preview.  Here are a few more favorites from the day.  We had a blast with the portraits.  At one point, I was barely able to keep the camera still they had me giggling so hard.  I could had put together a whole collage of Stacey's expressions and they are all so great and in the moment.  And, look at the air Clinton was able to get in that second jumping photo!

KansasCityWedding01.jpg  The Ceremony was at St. Johns Church with Fr. John Schmidler.  I love the first image with Stacey and her father touching foreheads right before walking down the isle.

Here was another favorite of mine of Stacey crossing Mass Street to get to the park for portraits.

I believe that you captured the Love that the Bride and Groom are feeling in all of your wonderful pictures. The Bride is as beautiful as the Groom is handsome. The Smiles tell it all. I especially love the one with the bride and groom walking down the sidewalk with those blooming trees in front of them.

Oh my details!  Melissa & Darius celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception this past Saturday at The Hawthorne House and Chapel in Parkville, Missouri.  This place is gorgeous with tons of natural light in both the chapel and reception room.  Melissa & Darius did an awesome job with all the decorations and details as you can see below.  I love this cake by her friend, Tanya Hurt.  It's just bursting with color and flowers.  The amazing flowers you see below are from Michelle at Bella Design Studios.

Sydnie is 3 months!  I can't hardly believe how fast it has gone by.  I plan to write her a letter from now on with how many things I love about her according to her age in months.  Here's a few 3 month photos also taken at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We finally got her smiling when she didn't realize the camera was out.  She is so curious about the camera, I can't get her to smile on film.  The past three months, being a mom, has been amazing!

To My Love (Syd),

To pick only three favorite things is almost impossible but picking my first is easy.  I love your smile.  You started smiling around 6 weeks and it still sends my heart fluttering.  You have many different smiles and the best is in the morning.  You smile so big it pulls your head from side to side as you flirt with whomever is front of you so gracefully.  I haven't seen one person not melt at it and I've been trying to capture it in a photo since the first one appeared.  Dad and I are in a hands down agreement that our favorite moment so far is when you giggled for the first time.  You kept laughing and looking back and forth at us for a good five minutes...probably in response to us laughing with joy back at you.

I love your shrieks, coos, awes, and ooohs.  You're vocal and your tiny voice is so sweet.  Sometimes you're in a more talkative mood than others.  This is also a new development and  I'm so captivated by it, I occasionally forget to talk back for a minute.

Finally, I love all of your expressions and there are so many of them but I have to say I love the look on your face right before you cry.  I won't be saying that forever so I'm going to use it now.  You hardly ever cry to begin with but when you do, that look on the edge of crying is so adorable.  You've mastered the pout and puppy dog eyes that are going to give you the world if you ever wanted it as far as your mommy goes.  Now, when you're able to pair that weapon with saying, "mommy," I'm really going to be in trouble.

At three months old you've accomplished quite a bit including stealing the hearts of your mom and dad.  You've had your first smile and your first laugh.  You're beginning to learn that your voice gets attention.  You found your hands and then your thumb.  You're beginning to learn that you can grab things and hold onto them.  These simple things are so amazing to me  every day as I watch you pay attention to the world and learn more with each moment.

This journey is so amazing and it's only just begun.

With Love,

Mommy

I wasn't expecting Stacey & Clinton to love the camera like they did yesterday and I LOVE them for it!  If it was fun and goofy, they were all about it and it made for such a fun day.  I appreciate all of them putting their trust in me as we walked, jumped, and spun in circles =)  Ya just never know.  As I walked through the reception I heard several groups remark, "How stunning Stacey looked," and "How beautiful everything came together."  A later post will show some decor that they spent over 5 hours on!  And, it was worth it because they looked amazing...  Here's the little preview of what getting ready for "looking stunning" is all about and these girls made it look easy.

Stacey got her dress at the same bridal shop as me, Ida's Bridal...in fact, I'm kinda in love with her dress because it has pockets!
