Sydnie is 3 months!  I can't hardly believe how fast it has gone by.  I plan to write her a letter from now on with how many things I love about her according to her age in months.  Here's a few 3 month photos also taken at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We finally got her smiling when she didn't realize the camera was out.  She is so curious about the camera, I can't get her to smile on film.  The past three months, being a mom, has been amazing!

To My Love (Syd),

To pick only three favorite things is almost impossible but picking my first is easy.  I love your smile.  You started smiling around 6 weeks and it still sends my heart fluttering.  You have many different smiles and the best is in the morning.  You smile so big it pulls your head from side to side as you flirt with whomever is front of you so gracefully.  I haven't seen one person not melt at it and I've been trying to capture it in a photo since the first one appeared.  Dad and I are in a hands down agreement that our favorite moment so far is when you giggled for the first time.  You kept laughing and looking back and forth at us for a good five minutes...probably in response to us laughing with joy back at you.

I love your shrieks, coos, awes, and ooohs.  You're vocal and your tiny voice is so sweet.  Sometimes you're in a more talkative mood than others.  This is also a new development and  I'm so captivated by it, I occasionally forget to talk back for a minute.

Finally, I love all of your expressions and there are so many of them but I have to say I love the look on your face right before you cry.  I won't be saying that forever so I'm going to use it now.  You hardly ever cry to begin with but when you do, that look on the edge of crying is so adorable.  You've mastered the pout and puppy dog eyes that are going to give you the world if you ever wanted it as far as your mommy goes.  Now, when you're able to pair that weapon with saying, "mommy," I'm really going to be in trouble.

At three months old you've accomplished quite a bit including stealing the hearts of your mom and dad.  You've had your first smile and your first laugh.  You're beginning to learn that your voice gets attention.  You found your hands and then your thumb.  You're beginning to learn that you can grab things and hold onto them.  These simple things are so amazing to me  every day as I watch you pay attention to the world and learn more with each moment.

This journey is so amazing and it's only just begun.

With Love,

Mommy

The Baby Plan (for babies 12 months and under) is such a great way to not only show the growth of your child but also the spirit and personality of your little wonder.  I always give advice to my clients about what to wear and accessories to bring by phone or e-mail but I think it's also helpful to show some examples.

A great resource for finding awesome baby accessories is on Etsy.com.  Etsy.com is a free site for sellers to sell all things handmade.  The buying process is similar to Ebay.  You can use Paypal, also a free site to buy, to protect yourself with each purchase.  (I will say, a Paypal dispute can only be opened within 4 weeks of the purchase.  Sometimes hand made items can take longer than four weeks and should be explained up front.  Paypal still suggests opening a dispute before four weeks and closing it once the item is received.  Although, I would explain this to a seller in advance.)

There are SOOO many sellers on Etsy with baby items it's hard to pick through them all.  I do a search first and, just like Ebay, make sure they have a great rating with rave reviews.  A favorite of mine for baby hats is  AngelBeez Sassy Stitching

Here's an image from their Etsy Page

Another favorite Etsy seller is Chickyloo Custom Knits.  This is where I bought Sydnie her first newborn hat.  It was actually the first thing I ever purchased for her and it was so special to me!  You can find Baby Cacoons, blankets and hats here.  Here is an image from their Etsy page of a Sugar Pod.  I love these for newborns!

il_430xN.134270085.jpgThe great thing about Etsy is you can get such quality, hand made items at great prices.  You can even customize with most sellers!  Be sure to get the right size for your session date and ask for dimensions if you need to when purchasing.  So, happy shopping and I can't wait to see what you've purchased for your session!

I haven't been very blogger happy lately but I am still taking lots of photos... "Maternity Leave" is just about to leave itself and I'm really excited to get into weddings again.  Here's a picture of Sydnie at 9 weeks.  It's funny, having a girl has made me girlie.

Well...Sydnie Clare surprised us a day early last Thursday morning and it's been a whirl wind around here since and we couldn't be happier!  She's doing wonderful in her new home.  Here's a couple images we were able to get on Wednesday before she woke up and caught me taking photos.  She's either going to love or hate the camera one day =)  So, without further ado...my baby girl
