I'm in love with Elizabeth & Nick being in love.  How terribly cute are these two!  We went to  Kansas City for their engagement photography session this week and they made my job look easy.  Both were having a great time (which is the agenda among getting some awesome shots!) and look how photogenic these two are!  Elizabeth & Nick met in college at KU during a church retreat and got engaged at Teller's in Lawrence.  They're planning a wedding this August at the St. Lawrence Catholic Center with a reception at Maceli's.  Can't wait!

And, of course, I have someone jumping...We actually messed with Elizabeth a little on this one and didn't tell her Nick was going to jump.  Anything to get a spontaneous laugh!

Kansas-City-engagement-photography-11.jpgI had a blast with these two and can't wait to photograph the wedding this August!

Congratulations,

Rain and hail couldn't stop us as Morgan, Jeff & I were shooting their engagement session in Watkins Mill State Park Monday afternoon.  You can view their preview here. The storm came right in the middle of our session but it stayed on one side of park while we went to the other.  The sky in the last 15 minutes was so dark and blue and then the sun decided to come out.  It made for some dramatic lighting and just in time for a dramatic scene.  The last place we stopped in the park was at this burnt down structure right at the entrance.  It was so fresh, we could still smell the smoke.  This, to me, makes sense for Morgan & Jeff because, not only do they work at an Insurance company, they also met there...aww.   Get it? =)  It was also just a really cool area.  In fact the whole park was awesome for photography...wish I lived closer.

For part II, Karla and Paul came to Lenexa and we played around in the field you see below.  It was only a few days after the rain, so we had to watch our step but here are some favorites!
