Mexico was so fun...I just want to go back. I think I could live on a beach easily. This would be my view/office/patio.

Syd loves the water and I think she would enjoy it...and of course we need Johnny!

Johnny is a diver so these are for him...I keep telling him they don't have enough dive shops in the world.

The birds know where to be. So, in an effort to be on the beach more...Ask me about destination wedding photography rates if you decide to get married away from home!

Last month I took some of the photos from the June Pictage User Group meeting that the folks over at Digital Labrador were gracious enough to let us use their space. Johnna Bockover volunteered to show off some actions and tips from Totally Rad Actions and Darbi got up for a few also. It was a great experience as we all mingled and shared some wine...and, who brought the Vodka!?!

Scott & Lindsey got married yesterday! eee! I loved shooting their
engagement session last year and these two were amazing on their wedding
day too. Lindsey was the cutest even while getting ready and she
smiled from ear to ear all day long. Scott and his family both adored
her and how could you not! Here's an example of how sweet and
thoughtful these two and their families are... It was a sit down dinner
and they not only made sure I had a seat, they also thoughtfully sat me
with a perfect table...On the left was a sweet couple that were
originally from central Illinois and he went to SIUC, same here. On the
right was a sweet couple whose daughter does forensic photography.
Across the table was another photographer that lives in North Carolina
(and she was so nice!) and another couple who live about 5 miles from me
in Kansas. Thanks for sharing dinner with me! Both Lindsey and Scott
come from great families and friends and I was honored to share the day
with them. The ceremony was at the Shrine of St. Joseph and you
can see the beauty of this place in some images below but I suggest
going here at least once if you live in St. Louis. The reception was at
the Old Hickory Golf Club
and the room and service were amazing. Here are some favorites from the
day.

I want to give a great big THANK YOU to Derren and Lisa Raser, a husband and wife photography team in Carbondale, IL for coming to St. Louis and helping out during the ceremony! You can see their website here and Lisa's blog here. Here's a favorite of mine from them at the ceremony. What a great moment!

Some new things I'm excited about....
New wedding photography disc cases! The first batch took some time arriving but now I'm stocked up! I really love this one. Favorite new feature...It has a magnetic field to keep it closed. Baby sessions will feature a white, pink or blue...

And, I can't wait to use this new basket with my next newborn photography session.
Love it!
I know I've basically missed Syd's 5 month letter. I may post it with her 6 month which is less than one week away.
Enjoy your week!

Maria is like gold. She is the sweetest thing and Frank knows it so he treats her like gold. =) I LOVE these two and will miss them dearly. We did an engagement session last Summer in Chicago where they live when I was pregnant and it was so fun walking around downtown Chicago with them. They hosted their wedding in St. Louis at the historic Lafayette Square Park and it just made sense to me to edit a few photos from Maria & Frank's wedding with a little vintage flair. Here's a few favorites from their wedding day.

I adore this image of the bridesmaids watching Maria and Frank see each other for the first time on their wedding day prior to taking some portraits in the park. I just happened to see their reactions to such a great time of the day and felt like a little photographer ninja when I spun around to catch it really fast... Sometimes I think I can drop and roll, jump up and hit my shutter to get the next shot... I do wear all black to blend in usually =) I don't see anything wrong with aspiring to be a photographer ninja!
And here's a little tribute to the groomsmen and ushers. The gray and violet color scheme was so gorgeous. The groomsmen wore these gray suits below that were so handsome. And, check out the dutiful ushers as they perform and entertain during some portraits! He's holding two purses, two sets of keys, a bouquet of flowers and a water bottle. ha

Thank you to Maria & Frank and their awesome wedding party for your fun and spontaneous smiles all day long!
