This is just a photography blog quickie, but I couldn't wait to post a few images from Saturday.  I'm sure Kaylee & Trevor are enjoying their honeymoon in Tennessee right now and here's a couple images from their Kansas wedding to hold them over.  I also want to give my Second shooter, Kristy Brulez a great big THANK YOU for coming along.

I love this wedding band that Kaylee engraved for her groom.

Groom-wedding-band.jpgIt was such an upbeat and fun day for photography!

And, talk about hilarious. Notice the horse behind me??  He just finished sneaking up on me and nudging me in the back as I'm standing on hay here.

Lenexa-wedding-photographer-02.jpgI can't wait to show you all some more photos from this day and tell you all about the wedding details Kaylee, Trevor and their families worked so hard on.  Soon!

Beautiful photos on your blog! I love when photographers post their clients images and sneak in a few of themselves in action. It makes everything so much more real and showing how much fun they're having! Love your camera strap too btw!!

Last weekend we went to St. Louis to photograph Leah & Tony on their wedding day.  These two planned an exciting day starting at Trinity Lutheran Church in the historic Soulard neighborhood.  After the ceremony we all drove around the downtown areas stopping by the St. Louis Arch grounds, the City Garden, Kiener Plaza, and the new downtown Schnucks before finally making our way to the Franklin Room for the reception.  The Franklin Room is a unique World's Fair vintage ballroom also in Soulard.  These two couldn't have chosen a better place with the style of their wedding and details.  Here's a first look portrait with the bride and groom.

I met with an awesome bride, Laura, on Monday and it reminded me to post a "Favorite Blogs I Follow" post.  As a photographer in Kansas City, I have to keep up with wedding trends.  If I didn't, it would be like a real estate agent that knew nothing about the neighborhood.  So, I follow a TON of awesome photography and wedding blogs and I've listed them below with descriptions for you to check out as well.  These are also blogs that inspire me with my own wedding photography.  I hope these blogs help as you plan your wedding.

The Wedding Chicks Blog  This blog is an amazing tool for planning a wedding and includes tons of DIY tutorials and ideas.  Love this blog!

Junebug Weddings | Seattle, Los Angeles, Orange County Wedding Blog  One of my favorites.

A Cup of Jo
A writer that includes some wedding related posts, giveaways and photography related posts.

Once Wed | Wedding Ideas, Used Wedding Dresses and Wedding Blog

Ruffled | Vintage Settings for Modern Weddings  This blog includes some DIY projects that look amazing!

The Brides Cafe

Style Me Pretty| The Ultimate Wedding Blog

The Southern Weddings Daily Blog I love the ideas that are shown on this blog daily.

Snippet & Ink  | Daily Wedding Inspiration

100 Layer Cake

Lucky Me

Elizabeth Anne Designs | Wedding Ideas & Inspirations

Green Wedding Shoes | Head over Heels for All Things Weddings

And if you would like to follow any of these wedding photography and planning blogs, I suggest using Google Reader.  It's free and easy!  By the way, none of these blogs are affiliated with me, I just simply enjoy reading them.

Oh, and I'd be foolish not to include my own blog as long as you are choosing your blogs to follow ;)  Kansas Wedding Photographer and Wedding photographer Blog

So happy blogging and if you have your own wedding planning blog, please feel free to share them in the comments.  I love seeing blogs from the brides & grooms that I photograph!

Becca & Brian have an awesome blog coming later this week but I wanted to share with everyone how beautiful Becca looked!  And her bubbly personality is showing off in both of these images.

And here's a funny little short clip taken during a "jump" in front of the fountain at the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.  This video is taken with the Canon 7D camera.  I'm still playing around with the video functions on this camera and it's so fun!  Hope this makes you smile.  It cracks me up!

Last Friday I spent the day in Lawrence shooting Stacey & Clinton's wedding (with the new Canon 7D! Love this camera) and had a blast.  Stacey & Clinton have amazing style and carried that into their wedding day so gracefully.  If any of you are in the middle of planning a wedding, you know just how difficult this can be and I'll create a separate post with some helpful places on-line for wedding planning.  But, for now, it's all about Stacey & Clinton!  Stacey selected a wedding dress that I'm clearly jealous of!  She had pockets and so did the bridesmaids.  I love this! And exclamation marks!  The pale pink bouquet was so fun and romantic.  The shoes were comfortable and everyone's hair and make-up looked gorgeous.  You can view an earlier post of them getting ready Lawrence Wedding Photography | Stacey & Clinton preview.  Here are a few more favorites from the day.  We had a blast with the portraits.  At one point, I was barely able to keep the camera still they had me giggling so hard.  I could had put together a whole collage of Stacey's expressions and they are all so great and in the moment.  And, look at the air Clinton was able to get in that second jumping photo!

KansasCityWedding01.jpg  The Ceremony was at St. Johns Church with Fr. John Schmidler.  I love the first image with Stacey and her father touching foreheads right before walking down the isle.

Here was another favorite of mine of Stacey crossing Mass Street to get to the park for portraits.

KansasCityWeddingphotography01.jpgCongratulations to you both!

I believe that you captured the Love that the Bride and Groom are feeling in all of your wonderful pictures. The Bride is as beautiful as the Groom is handsome. The Smiles tell it all. I especially love the one with the bride and groom walking down the sidewalk with those blooming trees in front of them.

Stacey:

I LOVE THEM! Thank you so much for taking such beautiful photos of the day. You were so fun to work with and the memories you helped us create will last forever. Thank you again! You are AWESOME!
